Last week the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 99, Belleville presented the Belleville General Hospital Foundation with an outstanding gift of $12,854. The funds were raised through their 2022 Poppy Campaign. We congratulate the Legion on an incredibly successful 2022 Poppy campaign and appreciate the efforts of every Legionnaire who distributed Poppies across the community. We would also like to thank everyone in the community who supported the 2022 Poppy campaign.
This donation will go towards the purchase of a new Endoscopy Light Source for Belleville General Hospital. This is an essential piece of equipment for our Endoscopy team, enabling them to see the inside the body for many different diagnostic procedures.
Fun fact! Over 270 Poppy donation boxes were distributed across Belleville this year, and thousands of Poppies worn to honour Canada’s Veterans. This truly is a local initiative that enables better care for local Veterans and their families, as well as our wider community.
