In an inspiring display of community support and fundraising excellence, the Belleville General Hospital Foundation has announced the winners of its latest Camp4Cancer Lottery Super Draw. This initiative, which has now raised $1.6 million since its inception, continues to engage a diverse array of supporters from across the province, with over 4,200 tickets sold for the most recent draw alone, generating an impressive $124,000 in contributions.

The funds raised through these lottery draws are critical in replacing state-of-the-art oncology equipment at Belleville General Hospital—ensuring that patients facing a cancer journey receive the best possible care. With nearly $2.5 million committed for replacement equipment in the 2024/2025 fiscal year, every contribution plays a vital role in modernizing our oncology services and bringing hope to countless patients.

Today’s draw celebrated winners from various regions, showcasing the broad reach and diversity of our supporters. The East to West Della Terra RV Winner is Langa Mtimkulu from Kanata, ON (Ticket #99009894001). In the 50/50 draw, Joanna Bendayan of Dunrobin, ON (Ticket #99007738121) took home a prize of $12,340. Additionally, Larry Pinard from Etobicoke, ON (Ticket #99009907001) won a $10,000 travel voucher, generously supported by Blowes Stewart Travel.

This draw marks the first of four super draws planned for the year, building on last year’s success, which raised $530,000. Adding to the excitement, the foundation is gearing up for a Corvette Super Draw next month, featuring an extraordinary stingray prize valued at over $134,000. This high-stakes initiative not only elevates the thrill of the draw but directly supports our mission to equip our hospital with life-saving technology in oncology.

“Every ticket sold brings us one step closer to providing hope and advanced care for patients battling cancer,” said Steven Cook, Executive Director of Belleville General Hospital Foundation. “Our diverse group of players—from Kanata to Etobicoke—demonstrates the broad community support that makes these initiatives possible. We are immensely grateful to our partners, including Carl Cox RV, Peter Smith GM, and Bay Marine, for their generous contributions across all draws. In these uncertain economic times, your continued support is vital to keeping our regional healthcare services strong.”
