Two Thousand Reasons to Smile: our First Early Bird Winner in the 2024 Camp4Cancer Lotto.    

Today Jim Battelle of Bancroft Ontario won the $2000 Early Bird Prize in the Belleville General Hospital Foundation Camp4Cancer Super Draw with ticket number 0841. Already 40% sold, the 2024 Camp4Cancer lottery returns with the support of local partner Carl Cox RV Sales & Service. Those who purchased their Camp4Cancer tickets before February 19 were eligible for the first of three Early Bird Draws as well as the Grand Prize — a brand new Salem Cruise Lite RV, valued at over $45,000.

When we reached out to tell him that he had won $2000, Jim said “Wow, you made my day! You never really think you’re going to win but it is for a great cause. And this will help me save for a trip to Japan to visit my son.”

With one in two Canadians diagnosed with Cancer in their lifetime Belleville General Hospital acts as a regional oncology center, providing lifesaving treatment across the entire Quinte Health Catchment. Improving survival rates, population growth and an aging demographic means ever increasing numbers of Ontarian’s will be living with Cancer into the future.
