The Belleville General Hospital Foundation is thrilled to announce a generous donation of $2,000 from the Lower Trent Valley Fish and Game Club. The funds were raised by the club’s dedicated members and distributed to organizations selected by them, reflecting their strong commitment to supporting local causes.
Jeff Weaver, Director with the Lower Trent Valley Fish & Game Club, and Bob Hunt, Treasurer with the Lower Trent Valley Fish & Game Club, were in attendance on behalf of the club to present the donation. The funds will go toward meeting critical equipment needs at Quinte Health Belleville General Hospital, helping to ensure quality healthcare remains accessible to the community.
“The Lower Trent Valley Fish and Game Club is proud to support local healthcare through this donation,” said Jeff Weaver. “Our members value the importance of a strong, well-equipped healthcare system. Many of us have personally benefited from the exceptional care provided by Quinte Health, and this is our way of giving back to the community we cherish.”
Established in 1962 and located in Frankford, Ontario, the Lower Trent Valley Fish & Game Club (LTVFG) is a member-owned, non-profit organization that fosters recreational shooting and archery. Spanning 120 acres, the club offers state-of-the-art facilities, including outdoor and indoor ranges for rifle, handgun, and archery enthusiasts. With a mission to promote safety, skill development, and community involvement, the club has become a cornerstone for members across the region.
This donation represents the club’s commitment to making a difference beyond its membership. By pooling resources from their members, LTVFG supports a range of charitable initiatives, highlighting the club’s role as a vital contributor to the community.
Steven Cook, Executive Director of BGHF, expressed his gratitude for the club’s generous gift: “We are incredibly thankful to the Lower Trent Valley Fish & Game Club for their support. Donations like these go a long way in ensuring our hospital has the tools and equipment it needs to provide exceptional care. The commitment of organizations like LTVFG to local healthcare makes a real difference in the lives of patients and families across our region.”
The BGHF encourages other organizations and individuals to follow the inspiring example set by the Lower Trent Valley Fish & Game Club. With year-end tax-deductible giving opportunities available, every contribution helps strengthen local healthcare for the Quinte community.
