Belleville Resident Wins First $2,500 Early Bird Prize in 2025 Car4Cancer Lotto

The Belleville General Hospital Foundation is thrilled to announce that Phillip Alkenbrack of Belleville is the lucky winner of the first $2,500 early bird prize in this year’s Car4Cancer.ca Super Draw, proudly supported by Peter Smith GM.

Phillip’s name was drawn from thousands of entries as part of the first in a series of three early bird cash giveaways leading up to the highly anticipated Grand Prize draw on June 30, 2025. The top prize? A brand new 2025 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray—a head-turning supercar valued at over $134,000.

“It was a total surprise—I couldn’t believe it,” said Phillip. “It was an impulse buy. I saw the ad pop up on my Facebook feed and thought, ‘why not?’ That’s a pretty good return on $50,” he laughed.

Interest in this year’s draw has been nothing short of phenomenal. With over $152,000 in ticket sales already recorded and more than 50 days remaining, the Foundation is on track to deliver a record-breaking return in support of cancer care.

Located within Belleville General Hospital, the clinic serves as a vital regional hub for cancer treatment. Proceeds from the Car4Cancer.ca lottery directly support life-saving equipment, faster diagnostics, and better treatment experiences for cancer patients across the Quinte region.

In addition to the Corvette grand prize and remaining early bird draws, attention is growing around the Car4Cancer 50/50 draw, which will also be drawn on June 30. With over $30,000 in sales already, the take-home prize is climbing rapidly—offering another exciting way for supporters to win big while giving back.
