Quinte Health Care’s new President and Chief Executive Officer Stacey Daub was on hand to receive a cheque for $250,000 from the Belleville General Hospital Foundation (BGHF) today.  Under new ‘stay at home’ guidelines the virtual presentation took place between QHC and BGHF at a time when community healthcare continues to be front of mind.

This most recent installment brings the total donations from the BGH Foundation to $1.75 million dollars to wrap up the Foundation’s 2020 fiscal year and is testament to a community rallying to keep their local hospital strong. The funds will be used across multiple departments to purchase new priority medical equipment and replace equipment that is nearing its end of life.

BGHF Executive Director Steve Cook said “This past year has been an important year in fundraising for the BGH Foundation with obvious challenges.  Our role within the community is to continue ensuring we have excellent health care available close to home.”

As she settles into life at Quinte Health Care, Ms. Daub added, “I am a great believer in compassionate community healthcare and look forward to working with our team, our partners and our community to shape the care patients receive across the Quinte region and beyond. The BGH Foundation is a vital partner and I am immensely grateful for their continued support.”
