McInroy Maines donates to local hospital foundations

As a company specializing in residential, commercial, industrial site development, property improvements and excavating, the term ‘community builder’ could be contextualized quite easily for Peter McInroy’s day to day activities.
This week, however, the term carried a different meaning as the firm continued an impressive 18-year tradition of giving back to the community and helping to support the region’s hospital patients. This came in the form of a $55,000 donation split between the Belleville General Hospital and Trenton Memorial Hospital foundations.
In recent years, the family have experienced first-hand the importance of having the latest equipment close to home, subsequently establishing a new trend of giving where each year the firm is in operation, a matching donation is pledged.
“Peter’s tradition of giving at this time of year is a huge boost to our fundraising efforts,” said BGH Foundation Executive Director Steven Cook. The donation will be designated to our Regional Nuclear Medicine Camera Campaign, which is now only $48,552 from completion.”
“This gift represents a substantial contribution to our current #URNeeded urology campaign at TMH,” said TMH Foundation Executive Director Wendy Warner. “The cystoscopy clinic plays an important role in diagnosing over 5,000 patients annually for bladder cancer, and the Green Light Laser helps men with prostate issues and the Holmium laser is also vital to the removal of kidney stones. We are very grateful to Peter, Bernadette and the McInroy family. Peter believes that his employees past and present are also happy to see their hard work go to good causes.”
In speaking to Peter and Bernadette, they were extremely grateful to everyone in health care, and wanted to ensure that this gift was dedicated to frontline staff, physicians, nurses and hospital support staff, to recognize them all for their dedication, commitment and compassion that they have shown throughout this pandemic.
Residents interested in donating to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation are encouraged to call Wendy at 613-391-7792.
