Burke Funeral Home makes major gift to BGH Foundation, surpassing $50,000 in lifetime giving.
In a heartfelt display of community support and compassion, Burke Funeral Home has made a significant donation of $20,400 to Belleville General Hospital Foundation.
“Our commitment to our community goes beyond the services we provide at Burke Funeral Home. We understand the importance of a strong local hospital and Ben and I are honored to support BGHF in their mission to deliver exceptional care, close to home,” said Eric Thompson, Regional Director, Northern & Eastern Ontario.
Dr. Tracy Bray, Board Chair, BGHF, expressed appreciation for the donation, saying, “We are deeply grateful for Burke Funeral Home’s unwavering support. This contribution brings their lifetime support to over $50,000, and it will have a meaningful impact on our ability to provide the highest level of care to our patients.”
Steve Cook, Executive Director, BGHF added, “This act of philanthropy reflects the spirit in our community, where local businesses step up to ensure the well-being of all. Our partnership with Burke Funeral Home is a testament to the dedication of businesses to the greater good.”
The donation will be directed to BGHF’s ongoing Be Well Campaign which aims to raise $20M for critical regional services at Quinte Health, Belleville General Hospital (BGH) including Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, the Fracture Clinic, and priority equipment purchases. BGH serves as the center of important regional services for more than 190,000 people, from Bancroft to Picton, and Brighton to Napanee.
