The most powerful moment of our recent Moulin Rouge Gala was when beloved local businesswomen and philanthropist, Kristin Crowe shared her own journey with cancer and care at Belleville General Hospital.
In a moving video presentation, Kristin shared the brave story of her long — and ongoing — fight with metastatic breast cancer. She received a standing ovation when she took the podium after the lights came back up, and proceeded to give an emotional update on her life to the wrapt audience.
The BGH Foundation is especially grateful to Kristin for sharing her story so bravely and openly. We are now sharing this video with our larger community, in the hopes that her story will move more people to personally support local cancer care.
