2024 GMC Terrain finds home with Belleville Resident James Gordon, Ticket # 6224

We are excited to announce that local resident James Gordon will be driving away in a brand-new 2024 GMC Terrain, valued at $44,000, thanks to the Car4Cancer Lotto Grand Prize Draw held on December 31, 2024. This incredible prize marks the tenth edition of the hugely successful Car4Cancer lottery, which has captivated thousands of supporters across Ontario since its inception. This year’s Car4Cancer Lotto sold over 5,800 tickets, raising more than $120,000 for regional oncology care programs at Quinte Health Belleville General Hospital (BGH), ensuring better access to life-saving treatments for countless patients.

“Car4Cancer is not just a lottery; it’s an opportunity to support our community and fund essential cancer care services,” said Steven Cook, Executive Director of BGHF. “With 1 in 2 Canadians expected to face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, providing high-quality oncology services in Belleville is crucial. The funds raised through Car4Cancer are making a real difference, ensuring our local hospital has the necessary resources to continue the fight against this devastating disease.”

BGHF is immensely grateful for the continued backing of Peter Smith GM, who have been avid supporters of this initiative from the start. “We are most appreciative of the continuing contribution by Peter Smith GM” said BGHF Board Chair Wayne Sheppard. “They are continuing in the legacy initiated by the late Peter Smith, it is wonderful for the community. Providing funds for much needed equipment at Belleville General Hospital.”

Looking ahead, BGHF is excited to announce that a brand-new Super Draw will launch January 2025, giving supporters another chance to win and continue supporting local cancer care initiatives. With each ticket purchased, participants are not only entering for the chance to win a fantastic prize but are also making a direct difference in the lives of those affected by cancer in the Quinte region. The Car4Cancer Lotto has enjoyed overwhelming support from the community. Since its inception 2.5 years ago, the Super Draw Program has raised nearly $1.5 million, directly benefiting the Dr. Douglas A. MacIntosh Cancer Clinic and funding priority diagnostic equipment at BGH.

All prize winners for our 2024 Car4Cancer Lotto can be found on the Winners page of the Car4Cancer website.
