Cab4Cancer Early Bird Winner Announced as Support for Local Cancer Care Builds Province-Wide

The Belleville General Hospital Foundation is excited to announce the first Early Bird prize winner in this year’s Cab4Cancer lottery. Dr. Hanga Agoston, has won the $2,500 Early Bird prize with ticket #99025798004.

“We see winners from every corner of Ontario, and we love that,” says Steven Cook, Executive Director of BGHF. “But when the winner is someone local who has personally championed patient care here at home — it hits the heart.  Since launching just last month, Cab4Cancer has already raised over $132,000 and tickets are selling rapidly, with supporters eager for the chance to drive away in this year’s grand prize: a brand-new Ford F-150 or $90,000 cash!

About the Grand Prize: The Ford F-150

The Ford F-150 is Canada’s best-selling truck for over 50 years, known for its blend of power, comfort, style, and capability. This year’s Car4Cancer F-150 includes:

  • A 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine offering both strength and fuel efficiency
  • Advanced towing and hauling features for work, adventure, or weekend trips
  • A spacious crew cab interior designed for comfort and everyday driving
  • Modern infotainment and safety technology, making it as smart as it is capable
  • Whether it’s jobsite-ready or road-trip-ready, this truck is built to handle life in motion — just like the people of our region.

OR take the $90,000 CASH.

Yes — ninety thousand dollars.  Imagine what you could do with that money this Christmas: Pay down your mortgage. Take your family somewhere unforgettable. Renovate. Breathe easier. Start something new.  This is a prize that changes a household — and helps change healthcare.

More Chances to Win

There are still two more $2,500 Early Bird draws to come, giving ticket holders multiple chances to win, plus the 50/50 jackpot, which is already over $14,000 and climbing. Visit cab4cancerlottery.ca to get your tickets.

This is shaping up to be a record year, with the Foundation expecting Cab4Cancer to surpass $1 million raised for the first time, supporting patients at the Dr. Douglas A. MacIntosh Cancer Clinic right here at BGH.

Why It Matters

Cancer will affect 1 in 2 people in their lifetime. The funds raised through Cab4Cancer directly support local cancer care, ensuring patients can receive treatment close to home, surrounded by family and community.

And with Breast Cancer Awareness Month underway, BGHF is also raising funds for a new 3D Tomosynthesis Mammography System, with an $800,000 goal, to be showcased at this year’s ‘Game On Gala’ — with the mission to change the game for breast cancer detection for the women of our region.
