Health Care staff have been uniquely impacted by the global pandemic, and as we approach the three-year mark, one might expect those same staff to be cautious and protective of their personal earnings. In a remarkable show of confidence and courage, the Belleville General Hospital Staff have demonstrated their combined strength in the annual Staff Campaign. Every year the Belleville General Hospital Foundation ask BGH staff and physicians to say “I’m In” for better health care through a staff giving campaign. BGHF is proud to report record breaking results in our 2022 campaign: 100 new participants registered, 30 people have increased their donations this year with a total number of participants reaching 468 staff. This amounts to a 20% overall increase in donations for a total of $145,000 raised for vital medical equipment purchases.

The annual campaign was generously supported by sponsors Cintas, Wilkinson CPA and Qxplore Group, with the Title Sponsor being Maple Dale Cheese. Owner Paul Henry says: “The Maple Dale Cheese staff team and I are so thankful for all that BGH staff do, and we’re glad to help out in a small way. We all depend on our community hospital in different ways through the year.” Additional In-Kind donations from Tim Horton’s, McDonalds, Campbell’s Orchards, Joe’s No Frills, Hawkins Cheezies, McKesson and McDowell’s along with St Louis Bar & Grill and Montana’s added prizes and treats for all staff to enjoy.

Executive Director Steve Cook says: “The continuing growth of our Staff Campaign year on year is testament to the affinity Quinte Health teams share with the Foundation. This level of internal support sets a precedent to the wider community.”
