Be a Christmas Angel

The words hit like a hammer: “You have cancer.”

When John Smale heard those words, everything stopped. He had gone under for a routine colonoscopy and when he woke up, he was a cancer patient. That was the start of a year that changed everything for him and his wife Patti. There was surgery and months of chemotherapy. Throughout, John was treated with care and compassion by the professionals at Belleville General Hospital.

And this is why we are sharing John’s story with the community and asking you to support our Christmas Angel Campaign. Our Annual Christmas Angel appeal plays an important role in providing much needed funds for departments across the hospital. From Diagnostic Imaging to Surgery and Recovery, we support patients like John in their time of greatest need.

This Christmas, The Maurice & Marilyn Rollins Foundation is challenging you to double your generosity! Your gift will be MATCHED — dollar for dollar — up to $125,000, unlocking double the impact of your generosity this holiday season!

Unfortunately, due to ongoing postal disruptions our Direct Mail appeal might not make it to your doorstep in time.

Here are THREE ways you can donate & secure your Angel decoration on one of our Angel Trees this year:

1. Donate Online using the form below.
2. By Phone at 613-969-7400 ext. 2061, Monday through Friday from 8.30am to 4:30pm.
3. In person at the BGH Foundation office, located just inside the Main Entrance of BGH and to the left. A secure, after-hours mail box is attached to the Foundation office door.

We will fill out and place your Angel decoration on the tree for you. Your words — in honour or in memory of someone special — will be displayed on one of our Angel Trees at Quinte Mall.
