Belleville General Hospital Foundation board members, staff, and volunteers celebrate the generous $10,290 raised by more than 100 Tweed and area residents at a Christmas Party fundraiser hosted by Dr. Charles Mustard, Family Physician in Tweed, Don DeGenova, Municipality of Tweed Councillor, and Joanne Albert, Mayor of Tweed.
Special guests Todd Crouchman and his daughter Emma attended the party as well. Todd, the 2017 BGHF Christmas Angel, and Tweed resident spoke to guests and shared his remarkable story of survival, thanks to the care he received at the Belleville General Hospital, after suffering a massive stroke in 2016.
Donations received from the 2017 BGH Christmas Angel Campaign were directed for priority medical equipment. Equipment including a pediatric colonoscope, defibrillators, and vital sign monitors were a few of the life-saving pieces of equipment that were required at BGH.
