They are the most cherished assets of our non-profits, charities, sporting organizations and faith communities, giving their time, talent and treasure. That is how the Association of Fundraising Professionals – South Eastern Chapter described the nominees during its annual National Philanthropy Day Awards.
McDougall Insurance & Financial won the award for “Outstanding Corporation – 100 Employees or more”. McDougall was nominated by the Belleville General Hospital Foundation for a legacy of giving in the entire South Eastern Ontario area.
Impacto Products was nominated for Outstanding Corporation – 99 Employees or fewer.
Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser nominees included Lisa McAuley – founder and organizer of Gee’s Walk for her work raising funds with a two-day 53 km walk for cancer care at BGH.
Brad Williams was also nominated in the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser category. Williams is a founder, organizer and title sponsor of Fairways for Fractures, a golf day that raised funds for a new fracture clinic at BGH.
Maurice Rollins was nominated as Outstanding Philanthropist for a lifetime of giving to BGH and many other charities in the community.
BGHF Senior Development Officer Penny Banks was nominated as Outstanding Fundraising Professional.
