BGHF was fundraising at McDonalds stores to purchase a new ventilator for the ICU at BGH. $10,000 was raised to date, and with the cost of a new ventilator being $47,000, the initial amount raised was a boost to help reach the total goal.
Armin and Marilyn Quickert, longtime residents of Belleville and local business owners heard about the ongoing efforts to purchase this piece of equipment. The Quickert’s reached out and paid the balance to make this new ventilator a reality.
Belleville General Hospital Foundation Executive Director Steve Cook voiced his appreciation, “The generosity of the Quickert’s to BGHF is incredible. They have been longtime supporters of the hospital and this community. To receive this news today that they would make sure our ICU had a new ventilator is just heart warming.”
“This donation helps us reach our goal and we can’t be more appreciative of the Quickert’s. They truly are an excellent example of the way the community has shown such tremendous support for the front-line workers and our local health care, especially with the upcoming expansion of the ICU at BGH.”
