Changing Lives
Margaret Mead was once quoted as saying, “ Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
Every Donation Changes Lives
When you give to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation you get to assist in improving and saving lives. We have always enjoyed the outstanding support and participation of the Quinte community. It seems that whenever the hospital is in need, the community responds quickly and whole-heartedly.
Sometimes people worry that the amount they can give to the hospital won’t help much, but they shouldn’t. Every donation changes someone’s life. Last year we received:
- $30,325 in donations of $25. That was more than enough to buy five Patient Controlled Pain Pumps that allow patients to manage pain after surgery.
- $37,750 from 755 donations of $50 which could pay for two ECG Machines to monitor patients’ heart rates.
- And $55,500 in $100 donations which was enough to buy a Cautery Machine ($38,441) that is used hundreds of times a year to stop bleeding for people having laparoscopic surgery and a special refrigerator for blood products in the Lab ($17,000)
If you’re a person who cares about people, just give what you can and very good things will happen at QHC Belleville.
You’re not buying equipment; you’re changing lives. And every donation counts.
